Quality Programs

It's true: some contractors are better than others.

With ACCA QA Accreditation and QI Certificates, you have proof.

What is Contractor Accreditation?

Developed by contractors, for contractors, ACCA’s QA (Quality Assured) accreditation and QI (Quality Installation) certificate programs focus on measurable standards and performance metrics to verify your high-quality HVAC work. We are an HVAC Quality Installation Training and Oversight Organization (H-QUITO).

Builders and homeowners need to be sure that the contractors they hire are doing the right thing, the right way. They also need to know that each individual installation job is performed correctly.

ACCA QA accreditation and QI certificates establish a level of trust that makes new customers confident in their choice to work with your company.

QA Accreditation: One Application Process, One Participation Fee -
Two Accreditation Tracks

The ACCA QA accreditation program offers contractors two tracks, allowing you to choose to be accredited in one or both of these tracks with just one application process and one participation fee.

Existing Homes - Residential Service & Installation (RSI)

QA Residential Service & Installation (RSI) is an accreditation program for contractors that want to prove to their customers in the residential replacement marketplace that they follow the acceptable guidelines for quality HVAC installation.

QI Certificates: Two Certificates to Verify Equipment or Whole System Performance

Where QA accreditation is focused on the overall processes your company uses to deliver quality, ACCA Quality Installation (QI) is an HVAC certificate program focused on how well individual pieces of equipment are installed and how well systems perform.

Powered by measureQuick, there are two different ACCA QI certificates: Verified Equipment Operation (VEO) and Verified System Performance (VSP).

  • VEO certificates verify the quality of the equipment installed.
  • VSP certificates verify the entire system: the equipment and the distribution system it is connected to (ductwork). A VSP-certified system will also be certified as an ENERGY STAR Verified HVAC Installation (ESVI).

A QI certificate gives homeowners third-party verification that their new HVAC systems have been installed correctly. It gives contractors the opportunity to both prove their value to customers and to reach higher standards of quality and efficiency across their team of installation technicians.

ACCA QA & QI: Open to All Contractors

ACCA’s QA contractor accreditation and QI certificate programs are open to all contractors—both non-members and members. The benefit for ACCA members is a $200 discount on the QA accreditation program participation fee. For QI certificates, contractors who are ACCA members or already in the QA program receive a $10 discount on each certificate issued, or $20 if they meet both criteria.
