ACCA, the nation's largest association of indoor environmental systems professionals, has announced that Todd Washam joined the national staff as the Director of Industry Relations on March 22.
Washam has 10 years of experience working on Capitol Hill as a Senior Legislative Assistant for Congressman F. James Sensenbrenner, Jr. (R-WI) and as a Staff Assistant for the House Committee on Foreign Affairs with the late Congressman Henry Hyde (R-IL). During his time on Capitol Hill he worked on drafting and managing legislation on energy and fuel, international trade, foreign affairs, transportation, and infrastructure. He also developed policy positions and collaborated with legislative teams to form vote recommendations for Congressmen.
"Todd brings a wealth of government relations and political experience to ACCA by joining our staff," said Paul T. Stalknecht, ACCA president and CEO. "We are excited to have such an experienced staff member who will help us continue to be a strong voice for contractors with manufactures, suppliers, and distributors, as well with the local, state, and federal governments."
In his new position, Washam will be responsible for monitoring and reporting on state legislative/regulatory issues and energy outreach programs, and coordinating, monitoring, and serving as the implementation manager of special ACCA projects and initiatives.
